LAURA HOLLAND

Managing Director

April 6, 2020

Quarry Theatre is excited to announce that Laura Holland will be assuming the role of Managing Director effective April 6, 2020. She will begin overseeing the operational functions of Quarry Theatre as well as continuing to serve as resident dramaturg. Laura joined Quarry Theatre in 2017, as an Associate Artistic Director for the company and as an actor, performing in QT’s Meditations on Nationalism and The Way Out. A graduate of Stevenson University, Laura has an extensive background in performance, social science, and literature. She has been a member of Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas since 2019.

“My hope in stepping into the role of Managing Director is to encourage the growth and evolution of Quarry Theatre as well as to play a more pivotal role in strengthening the relationships between the company and its audiences, collaborators, and the arts community both locally and beyond,” said Holland. “I very much believe in Quarry’s mission and I am thrilled to begin supporting the company from a place of administrative leadership.”

Quarry Theatre, a Baltimore-based theatre company, creates authentic works of performance that reflect the issues surrounding today’s socio-political climate. Collaged from the excavation and examination of significant textual and statistical evidence as well as an array of media sources, Quarry Theatre productions defy genre and connect with audiences through originally composed live music and provocative storytelling.
